NORFOLK -- Norfolk State University has cleared it's cheerleading team of hazing allegations after the parents of at least two NSU cheerleaders claimed their kids were being bullied and hazed by the veterans on the squad, school officials told 13News Now.

The parents claimed the new cheerleaders were forced to hold weights or sit in the dark for long periods of time.

The cheerleaders were banned from performing at the school's November homecoming game during the investigation.

The university has lifted the suspension.
