YORK COUNTY -- Four people were hurt in a crash that shut down I-64 in York County for more than an hour.

The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on I-64 East, west of Queens Creek.

Virginia State Police say 21-year-old Zared Mohr fell asleep at the wheel and hit a Subaru, sending it into the median and into the trees.

Mohr and a juvenile in the front seat of the Subaru had to be cut from the cars and were flown to the hospital, said Sgt. Michelle Anaya.

The driver of the Subaru, 41-year-old Kelly A. Campbell, and her back seat passenger, Christopher Bulg, were taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Sgt. Anaya says the injuries were not life threatening.

Mohr, who lives in Newport News, has been charged with reckless driving, she added.
