NORFOLK-- Officer Victor Decker made a big impact in the fouryears he'd been on the Norfolk Police force.

He was known throughout downtown, patrolling on his bike or a segway, getting to know Granby Street business owners by name.

Atribute was up on Granby Streeta day after his murder-- a pink rose and sign taped on a green light pole that reads 'RIPVictor Decker. You were a friend to so many.'

And Decker was family to fellow brothers in blue.

'We were very proud of him,'said Master Police Officer Rick James, who would patrol with Decker.

The Downtown Norfolk Civic League and 219 American Bistro are partnering to raise money for the family of our friend, Officer Vic Decker.

Please join us for lunch or dinner at 219 American Bistro on Monday, November 1st and the restaurant will donate 25% of gross sales to Officer Decker's family. The restaurant owners, Dr. Sture Sigfred and Ron Zoby, will personally match whatever money is raised and donate it to the Decker family.

219 American Bistro will be open for lunch from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM and dinner from 5:00-10:00 PM on Monday, November 1st. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling 757/416-6219.
