NORFOLK -- Police have arrested a man for the sexual assault of an Old Dominion University student at her home on November 21.

Police say 31-year-old Steven Woodlin was arrested early Thursday near the place where the attack occurred - 41st Street - and that he had items that had been taken from the victim's home.

Police say she told them she was alone in her home when she was attacked by a man wearing a black mask around 4:30 a.m.

ODU spokeswoman Jennifer Mullen Collins said he's not an ODU student.

Woodlin was arraigned Friday on charges of Burglary, Rape, Oral Sodomy, Object Sexual Penetration, Robbery and Strangulation. He will be in court again in mid-December and remains in jail without bond, said Commonwealth's Attorney spokeswoman Amanda Howie.

Norfolk Police investigators say they're looking into the possibility of Woodlin's involvement in other, unrelated incidents.
