HAMPTON-- A Hampton house fire which happened early Friday morning has been ruled an arson.

No one was home when firefighters arrived on Mason Street around 1:00 a.m.

Officials say the fire was brought under control in about 15 minutes, but the home was badly damaged.

Nobody was injured in the blaze.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Crime Line at 888-LOCK-U-UP.

The Crime Line is offering a $1,000 reward and the Virginia chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
