HAMPTON--Police arrested multiple suspects Sunday night after a series of incidents near the Plaza Roller Rink on East Pembroke Avenue.

Police say there were three separate incidents in the 1900 block of East Pembroke Avenue that occurred between 9 p.m. and 10:45 p.m.

Around 9:04 p.m., officers saw multiple fights going on in the parking lot of the roller rink. When they tried to intervene a large group gathered and became disorderly.

The officers called for additional assistance and all available officers throughout the city responded to disperse a crowd of about 250 people.

Police arrested in the incident:

* George Antonio Bunch: 18, of the 1st block of Westminister Drive and charged him with one count of Obstruction of Law Enforcement
* Ammittay Yetuwr Mabrey: 20, of Newport News. He was charged with one count of Fighting
in Public
* Dashawn Bradshaw: 18, of Newport News. He was charged with one count of Fighting in Public
* A 15-year-old Hampton male was charged with one count of Disorderly Conduct
* A 15-year-old Newport News female was also charged with one count of Disorderly Conduct

At around 10 p.m., officers heard shots fired near the roller rink. Then they saw three suspects running from an area just across the street from the rink.

Antonio Louis Pittman, 18, of the 2000 block of Rawood Drive, Hampton, was arrested after a foot pursuit. A police dog was used to arrest him and he was taken to a hospital for injuries from bites. He was charged with the Possession of a Concealed Weapon and one count of Possession of Marijuana.

Police found that Pittman had been escorted out of the Plaza Roller Rink by staff earlier in the evening.

The two additional suspects, who were seen running, were also caught and an investigation is on-going to see if they had any connection to the shots being fired.

Police found that a 1998 Acura that was unoccupied had been struck several times by bullets.

As the investigation of the first two incidents continued, officers were sent to the 1800 block of East Pembroke Avenue for the robbery of a person complaint.

Police found a 14-year-old Hampton boy who had just left the roller rink. He had been beaten and robbed by a number of suspects. He was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.

Police say they are working with other city departments to try to curtail such incidents. They are also increasing their presence in the area.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
