NORFOLK- The City of Norfolk is teaming up with Virginia Beach-based'OperationBlessing' to help residents remove snow who cannot do so themselves.

Operation Blessing will coordinate the volunteer effort and take work order requests from residents.The charity is sending in equipment and will coordinate volunteers.

Anyone willing to volunteer should meet at the'OperationBlessing' mobile command center on Friday or Saturday at 8 AM at theLowe'sParking Lot at 1081 N.Military Highway in Norfolk. Volunteers are asked to bring snow shovels if they have them.

Anyone needing assistance with snow removal from their driveway, sidewalk, or area can call 757-274-8650 or go to the mobile command center at Lowe's.

Priority for help will be given for the elderly, sick, disabled, and single mothers and will be based on the number of volunteers.
