VIRGINIA BEACH -- Two people were injured after a vehicle collided with a school bus in Virginia Beach Thursday morning.

Emergency personnel responded to the accident in the 1900 block of Sundevil Drive near Salem High School around 11:45 a.m., according to Tonya Borman with the Virginia Beach Police Department.

Investigators say the 4-door sedan exited the parking lot and turned left into the path of the school bus. Both drivers were transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

No students were aboard the school bus at the time, Borman said.
