PORTSMOUTH - Portsmouth Public Schools confirm a bed bug at a fourth city school.
On Monday, spokeswoman Maureen Mizelle said that a bed bug was spotted at Cradock Middle School about a week ago.
'As a precautionary measure, students are being asked to put their backpacks and coats in a plastic bag when they come into the building each morning and leave them in the bag until they depart at the end of the day,' she explained.
Mizelle released additional information about bed bug reported last week at Churchland High School. She says it was in a couch in the library and that thecouch has been thrown away. The rest of the library was not treated because exterminators didn't find any further evidence of additional activity, Mizelle explalined.
Portsmouth Schools Superintendent David Stuckswisch declined to talk with 13News about bed bugs saying, 'This has been going on for 4 years.'
