VIRGINIA BEACH --Virginia Beach Public Works will begin day and night road milling and paving projects on Sandbridge Road.
Now through Thursday, May 22, crews will mill and pave westbound lanes between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m, according to city spokesperson Drew Lankford.
On Tuesday, May 27, crews will begin night work of milling operations on both the east and west bound lanes on Sandbridge Road from Colchester Road to Las Brisas Drive.
Starting the week of June 2, crews will begin paving that section of road which will complete the project. They will also install raised pavement markings to improve visibility and safety.
Night crews will work from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. each week night.
All work is expected to be completed by June 13.
Officials say the road work will likely cause traffic delays in the area, so drivers should plan ahead.
