NEWPORT NEWS -- At first glance, the roof on Tim Dolan's home looks like any other in the Historic Huntington Heights neighborhood of Newport News.

Go around the back and you'll see the difference - solar panels.

Dolan says he worked with the City and the neighborhood architectural review board to get his plan for going green approved.

He says he spent $55,000 to solar panel the home on 57th Street and has gotten state and federal rebates totalling $30,000.

Dolan says he hasn't had an electric bill in two months and expects he'll break even in nine years.

He says he believes the country needs to focus more on using more sun and wind for energy.
