CURRITUCK CO.--A boil-water advisory has been issued for the Currituck Club development in Corolla, N.C. until Thursday, March 28, at 3 p.m.

Officials say due to a water line break Wednesday, there is a potential for contamination from cross-connections or back-siphonage.

Once water is restored, customers should boil all water used for human consumption, including drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, and making ice or use bottled water.

Vigorous boiling for one minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.

Officials say customers may experience periods of low pressure and discolored water until full service is restored.
