NORFOLK -- Sight is one of the senses that many of us take for granted. But what would it be like if you couldn't see?

Y'Not Pizza in Norfolk and VisionWalk will host 'Dining in the Dark' April 8 to give guests an idea of what its like for people who are blind or visually impaired. Diners will be given simulation masks of either macular degeneration or retinitis pigmentosa and will be asked to order from the menu and/or eat their meals while wearing these masks.

Y'Not is donating 10% of the proceeds from its four restaurants to VisionWalk.

Health officials say more than 11 million Americans are affected by blinding retinal disease and by the year 2020 that number is predicated to double.
