NORFOLK -- Crews responded to a fire at the Norfolk International Terminal at the Port of Virginia Wednesday afternoon.

Port of Virginia spokesman Joe Harris tells 13News Now a straddle carrier caught fire around 5 p.m.

Norfolk firefighters responded to the blaze. The straddle carrier operator was not injured.

'Cargo operations on the South Berth are on hold until the clean-up and removal of the straddle carrier are complete,' Harris said.

Harris says the extent of the damage has not been determined. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
