VIRGINIA BEACH -- A swimming advisory was lifted Thursday, a day after it was posted for Sandbridge because of high bacteria levels.

It affected the area between Porter's Island Road and Sea Scape Road and signs warning of the potential health danger were removed.

Department of health officials say they test the water weekly between May and September.
