NORFOLK-- There are a lot of hot dog vendors in Hampton Roads and on this day, Doug's Hot Dogs had Joe Flanagan come to work for them.
Joe was making the forty-year-old standby dogs that has made Doug's an icon in Oceanview.
He also tried making the new 'o-v dogs', that have barbecue sauce and Frito's on them.
So, how would Joe do working at Doug's?
'Joe, honestly if you are looking for another job, by all means, I will give you an application. There is a two-week trial period and we will see how it goes,' said owner Dave Derring.
The original owners of Doug's were firemen who based their soups, sauces and hot dogs on the ones they used in the fire stations.
