YORK COUNTY -- Police have arrested two people in connection with the death of a man found in a burning vehicle on Interstate 64.
Officers have charged 34-year-old Hassan Harvey of Norfolk and 19-year-old Kasey Rubio of Portsmouth with first-degree murder, abduction and arson.
Harvey and Rubino are listed as owners of a Norfolk business called 'Top Dead Auto' on Nevada Avenue.
A York-Poquoson Sheriff's Deputy discovered the 56-year-old victim, Austin Steven King, after spotting his Mac Tools truck on fire early Friday morning.
After the fire was put out, investigators found King's body inside the truck.
Exit 243 B, both west and east, was closed through the Friday morning rush hour for the investigation.
According to a press release, the Medical Examiner has determined that the victim died from blunt force trauma to the head.
A close friend says King was a reliable worker in the auto care business 'It's heart breaking; it's like losing one of your good friends,' Gene Crepeau said.
Crepeau said King did often stop at Top Dead Auto. Saturday, police taped off the business as part of the investigation.
