NEWPORT NEWS--Police say the 19-year-old who was wounded Monday night in Newport News is not cooperating with their investigation.
After Xavier Sherrod Greene, Jr. was treated at the hospital, he was taken to jail because there was outstanding a misdemeanor offense against him, said police spokesman Lou Thurston.
Green was shot in the leg and found in the 100 block of 36th Street around 7:30 p.m.
