What is it? It's a liquid rubber sealant that seeps into cracks and holes to seal out air and moisture.
Does it work? Flex Seal
What does it claim? It claims to stop leaks fast and be the easy way to coat, seal and protect.
Who tested it? Erik Wickham, who lives in Virginia Beach and owns RGB imaging
What Are The Instructions? The directions are pretty simple. You shake the can well for one minute. Spray Flex Seal using an even, sweeping motion. Be sure to spray a larger area than where the leak occurred and feather the edges. You need to apply several even coats instead of one thick coat.
Did it work ?Wickhamgave it a mixed review. While it didn't seal the hole he created in the bottom of a bucket, he said he could see it working for some projects. He said he would use it on smaller things around the house that don't have a lot of pressure. Wickham said he'd be hesitant to use it on anything with pressure behind it.
How much does it cost? We purchased our 14-ounce can of Flex Seal at Bed, Bath & Beyond for $12.99.
Additional Comments: Flex Seal comes in a few different colors and it is paintable. One can of Flex Seal treats 2 to 12 square feet.
