VIRGINIA BEACH -- It was a rude awakening for people in a Virginia Beach house early Wednesday - a car hit their home.

The Chrysler 300 sedan struck the corner of the Damascus Trail house around 6 a.m.

Howard Bellido said he was in the kitchen when he heard a boom. He went to check it out and saw the damage and the car. He said there were two people in the car delivering the newspaper.

The car left the road, knocked over the mailbox and kept going until it struck the house.

No one in the house or car was hurt.

Police say two traffic summons were issued.
