NORFOLK -- A Norfolk high school was on precautionary lock down Friday morning, school officials told 13News Now.
According to school spokeswoman Elizabeth Mather, Maury High School was on lockdown after a student overheard another student talking about a weapon.
Mather said no weapons were found during a search of the school.
The lockdown was cleared around 12:30 p.m.
Some parents told 13News Now they were concerned about a lack of communication from the school.
Mather says parents received a phone call alerting them to the incident and a letter will go home with students.
No other details were released.
