WASHINGTON DC -- Motorcyclists swarmed Washington D.C. Wednesday to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The event is called the Two Million Bikers Ride.

Thousands of bikers rode through city, but they were denied a permit to ride as an organized event, so the thousands of bikers had to stop at traffic lights and stop signs, causing traffic issues.

According to WJLA in Washington D.C., the ride was initially organized to protest the American Muslim Political Action Committee's rally, which was initially called the Million Muslim March but was later changed to the Million American March Against Fear.
