VIRGINIA BEACH Family of a Virginia Beach man stabbed to death outside a Chesapeake bar over the weekend, pleas to the public for help finding those responsible.
Jonathan Quijano, 37, was attacked outside the 45 Degrees Martini & Bistro early Sunday morning, according to police.
'No words can explain, or express ...what we're going through,' said Yemzie Swift, Quijano's sister. 'It's just not right.'
Chesapeake police say Quijano was involved in a fight with five men and one woman before someone stabbed him in the stomach in the shopping center parking lot.
Quijano's family says doctors performed seven hours of emergency surgery trying to save his life.
Some of his immediate family members drove up overnight from North Carolina, and received word he died on their way to the hospital.
'We were called by a friend and we were told to pull over, and due to the injuries and the cardiac arrest, his heart couldn't take it, and didn't survive,' said Hilda Bonilla, Quijano's mother.
Police say the six possible suspects ran from the bloody scene after the stabbing.
So far police have not announced any arrests.
'Somebody had to have seen something,' said Swift.
Family members tell 13News Now Quijano worked as an electrician and is survived by five children.
Friends created a fundraising page for his kids.
A wake has been scheduled for Friday.
