HAMPTON -- Police are looking for Julius Kinyata Heckstall and Kevin Dwayne Jones who they believe are responsible for a shooting that took place in the 2200 block of Executive Drive August 14.
The investigation revealed that the suspects and the victim, Bryers Peeples, got into a verbal altercation when the suspects allegedly displayed firearms and shot the victim. During the incident, three apartments located in the 2200 block of Executive Drive were struck by bullets. Fortunately, none of the residents whom lived there were injured.
The victim, Bryers Peeples suffered from a single gunshot wound and was treated and released from the hospital. He was arrested and charged with one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and one count of Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon. He remains in custody at the Hampton City Jail.
The suspects have been identified as Julius Kinyata Helkstall, a 25-year-old Hampton man whom resides in the first block of Triple Crown Court and Kevin Dwayne Jones, 27-year-old Hampton man that resides in the 1200 blk of Micott Drive. Both individuals are currently wanted for one count of Maiming, one count of Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and three counts of Shooting into an Occupied Building. Julius Helkstall is also wanted for one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Both subjects should be considered armed and dangerous.
