VIRGINIA BEACH -- Police have charged a teen with brandishing a gun at a school bus.

According to police spokesperson, Grazia Moyers, a school bus was unloading students at the intersection of Brian Avenue and Rachel Street around 3 p.m.

Two students reported to the driver that a male behind the bus pointed a gun at them. The suspect was in a blue pick up truck with a female passenger.

The bus driver took the students back to Pembroke Elementary and notified school authorities and police. Officers responded and were able to identify a suspect after conducting interviews.

Detectives determined that there was a dispute between the suspect and several students at the bus stop in reference to the suspect having a rebel flag displayed in his truck. A weapon was located and the suspect was arrested.

Joshua P. Dalton, 18, of the 500 block of Rose Marie Avenue in Virginia Beach has been charged with two counts of Brandishing a Firearm. Both charges are misdemeanors.

There were no injuries and the female passenger was not charged in the incident.
