NEWPORT NEWS -- A Tappahannock man was injured Friday night after crashing his motorcycle head-on into a pick up truck on Warwick Boulevard.

Police say at 10:00 p.m. he was riding a Harley Davidson southbound on Warwick when he turned down a one way street, Huntington Avenue.

The driver of a Ford Ranger truck tried to stop when he noticed the motorcycle coming towards him.

The truck driver, from Newport News, was not injured.

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to Riverside Regional Medical Center. His name has not been released.

Officials tell us the crash is under investigation.

The driver of the Harley could face reckless driving charges.
