ABC13 is proud to announce that we have added automotive journalist Larry Printz to our team. Larry will act as Automotive Editor for 13News Now and wvec.com and will report on topics ranging from new models to technology trends and consumer issues.
'I am proud to be a part of the best television news operation in Hampton Roads,' Printz said. 'Given the increasing complexity of automobiles and consumers' desire for accurate, unbiased information, it's a great time to expand my relationship with ABC13.'
Printz's new role comes as an outgrowth of his five-year relationship with 13NewsNow where he has appeared weekly with VanessaCoria as part of ourIn the DriversSeat.
Printz will be regular contributor on 13News Now newscasts and will also provide regular columns to wvec.com. He will also bring automotive experts to live chats and other events to answer viewer car questions.
Printz has been one of the nation's top automotive journalists for almost two decades, having worked for Tribune, Times Mirror, and Pilot Media. His automotive stories have been distributed to newspapers worldwide through the McClatchy-Tribune News Service to an audience of more that 7.5 million readers. He also has written for Men's Health and Consumer's Digest magazines, and serves as a judge at top collector car shows across the United States.
'Larry is one of the most respected automotive journalists in the country, and we live in one of the country's most dynamic automotive markets,' said ABC13 President and General Manager Brad Ramsey. 'This is a great day for ABC13, our viewers, our users, and our advertisers.'
