SUFFOLK -- The game warden waited Saturday night for a crowd to disperse so that a bear would come down from a tree on Deborah Drive.

People started calling Suffolk Emergency Communications a little before 8:00 p.m. after they saw the bear in the neighborhood off Holland Road near Grove Avenue.

Police officers and the Game Warden from the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries went to the area shortly after the reports started coming.

The bear is estimated to be approximately two years old and weighs between 100 and 150 pounds.
