HAMPTON -- A man wanted for murder is back in Hampton after being arrested in Georgia.

Darren Maurice Johnson, along with Wanda Faye Dobbins, are accused of killing 73-year-old Tommy Arland Alley, who was found dead March 7 in a vacant home on Eastmoreland Drive. Police say Alley, who lived in Newport News, died of asphyxiation.

Johnson and Dobbins were arrested in Georgia after a high-speed chase and shootout with police several days after Alley's murder Dobbins was returned almost immediately; Johnson was extradited Thursday .

Johnson, 45, and Dobbins, 42, both of Hampton, are in jail on charges of murder, abduction and carjacking.

Alley's son had reported him missing on February 21.
