NORFOLK -- The future of Norfolk's Waterside is still being hammered out.

Tuesday, the Cordish Company presented its proposal to Norfolk city council again. The Cordish plan is to rejuvenate Waterside with new restaurants and live entertainment.

Norfolk City Manager Marcus Jones has recommended this proposal over others including finalist Harvey Lindsay Development.

Cordish addressed rumors that it would fill Waterside with chain restaurants.

'We start with a clean sheet of paper for each community that we work in. There is no cookie cutter solutions for these types of developments,' said Blake Cordish.

Cordish also said they would plan to keep the marina open to visiting boaters.

The city council still has to make a final call. No deadline has been announced.
