SUFFOLK -- A three-year-old boy was shot Friday morning at an apartment in Suffolk, and now the boy's father has been charged.

It happened at an apartment complex on White Marsh Road in Suffolk just before 9:00.

Investigators learned that the boy was shot in the hallway. They say it happened while the boy's father and mother were arguing.

Someone drove the toddler to Sentara Obici Hospital and he was ultimately taken to CHKD's pediatric unit. He has been stabilized and police say his injuries are not life-threatening.

22-year-old Michael Goodman faces various charges including malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and child endangerment.
