HAMPTON-A worker left a Hampton pizza shop to get change and returned to find a man taking money from the register, police say.

It happened around 8:10 p.m. Monday at Chanello's Pizza in the 3800 block of Kecoughtan Road.

According to investigators, the employee wasn't gone long, but it didn't take long for the robber to take advantage of the situation. When the employee got back, the suspect pulled a gun and finished getting the cash.

The employee wasn't hurt.

The suspect is 30 to 40 years old and had on a black jacket, black do-rag and a black cloth around his face.
