Police say 29-year-old Aaron Markeith Gerald went up a teenager who was arguing with another man and fired two shots, but didn't hit anyone. The teen then stabbed the person he'd been arguing with and ran off, only to be arrested at a gas station at Shipps Corner and Holland Road, police added.

Gerald was arrested at a home in the complex, according to investigators.

The 17-year-old, whose name won't be released because of his age, is charged with Malicious Assault; Gerald, who lives in Norfolk, is charged with Malicious Assault, Use of a Firearm, Shooting into an occupied vehicle, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Police did not have information about how any of the people involved know each other or what the argument was about.
