VIRGINIA BEACH-- Dominion Virginia Power crews were working to clean up power lines brought down by an accident Monday night.

According to dispatchers, a car hit a power pole around 4:30 p.m. There was no word on whether there were injuries or any charges for the driver in the crash.

Crews were still on scene three hours later working on the lines.

According to Dominion spokespers, Bonita Harris, no one lost power when the accident happened but the utility would have to cut power to about 100 customers for an hour while they fixed the lines. Power was expected to be restored by 10 p.m.
