VIRGINIA BEACH -- Police have made an arrest in connection with several larcenies and burglaries in and around the Oceanfront.

Police have charged 44-year-old Gregory Todd Glendening of Virginia Beach with two counts of breaking and entering with the intent to commit a felony, six counts of grand larceny, and larceny - 3rd or subsequent offense.

Between June and August the suspect was responsible for at least seven larcenies and two commercial burglaries, police said.

The dates and addresses of the larcenies and burglaries are as follows:

  • July 22, 400 block of Pinewood Drive
  • July 28, 1200 block of Bluebird Drive
  • Aug. 2, 500 block of Pacific Avenue
  • Aug. 7, 600 block of 25th Street
  • Aug. 7, 900 block of Laskin Road
  • Aug. 28, 600 block of 25th Street
  • Aug. 30, 500 block of Norfolk Avenue

Glendening is also being investigated for numerous other crimes, police said.

Glendening is being held in the Virginia Beach Correctional Center without bond.
