SUFFOLK -- A woman was airlifted following a one-car accident in Suffolk Thursday.
According to police, the 61-year-old ran her SUV off the road on Route 58 between the scales and the Suffolk/Chesapeake line around 10 a.m, hitting a tree.
The victim was airlifted by Nightingale to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Her injuries don't appear to be life threatening, police said.
Two eastbound lanes were briefly closed following the accident.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
