BURLINGTON, VERMONT -- It's not something you see every day - a moose wandering the streets. But that's just what happened in Burlington, Vermont on Tuesday.

The 400-pound moose is about a year old, according to wildlife officials.

Police were able to direct the moose to a nearby swamp that they hope will keep it from having any contact with people.

Wildlife officials say this is the time of year when young moose are active because their mothers force them away so they can have more babies.
