That tropical wave continues to slowly head west, but it remains well away from us -- between South America and Africa.
It's moving at about 10-15 miles an hour. The forecast has it staying on that track, turning a little more northwest and passing by the northern Leeward Islands and eastern Bahamas in the next five days.
The wave is likely to be become tropical depression three of this hurricane season. The Hurricane Center says there's a 70% chance of it becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 24 to 36 hours.
We'll keep watching and let you know if it becomes a threat to the U.S. East Coast and the ABC 13 viewing area.
