CHESAPEAKE--The heat made things difficult for firefighters in Chesapeake. Crews were out battling flames at a house on Burson Drive around 2:30 Saturday morning. Things were quickly under control but because of the heat and humidity extra crews had to come out to help keep the fire from restarting. The fire raced through much of the roof and left the house destroyed.

Two adults and their dogs have been displaced. They weren't home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.
