NORFOLK -- The report on the future of The Waterside Festival Marketplace is in and Norfolk City Council will get a presentation on it in two weeks.
It was supposed to be presented Tuesday night, but some council members couldn't be present, so Mayor Paul Fraim decided to wait until everyone could be there.
The consulting firm is suggesting the waterfront marketplace be remodeled and the city should work to attract high-end businesses, create more banquet space, have three big-name restaurants with waterfront balcony seating, and more.
Mayor Paul Fraim says it could be months before Council approves any suggestions because members want to get it right.
Vice-Mayor Anthony Burfoot says he's discussed the plan with the firm. He hopes work can be completed in time for OpSail in November 2012.
The presentation will be given to Norfolk City Council on January 25.
