SUFFOLK--Police executed a search warrant Thursday and busted a marijuana growing operation in the 400 block of Vicksburg Road.

During the search of the property, over 100 viable marijuana plants capable of producing a total of over 100 pounds of marijuana at full maturity were discovered.

Police also found an alcohol still that was in current production, as well as four firearms and related ammunition. The still operation is being investigated by Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control.

Leslie Vanhoose, 59, and Johnathon Brown, 24, both of Suffolk, are charged with manufacturing marijuana and conspiracy.

Justin Carr, 24, also of Suffolk, is being charged with manufacturing marijuana, conspiracy, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
