NORFOLK--A plan to further renovate the Scope was unveiled to Norfolk Council on Tuesday.

The city has already upgraded many areas of Scope and Chrysler Hall. Tuesday's presentation focused on improving the Scope concourse and plaza areas.

Some of the areas that need to be addressed are women's restroom capacity, more food and beverage capacity, better access to the plaza and better access to box office facilities.

According to city spokesperson, Lori Crouch, the most immediate areas that need to be addressed are the restrooms and concessions.

The archetectural firm, Mosley and Populous, presented several artist renderings of what is being proposed including a new building in the middle of the plaza to house ticket sales and Seven Venues offices.

The city plans to study the plans, according to Crouch. Right now there is no funding for the improvements.
