HAMPTON - Five people were hurt when an HRT bus and a car collided in Hampton.

It happened around 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of W. Weaver Road and Manchester Street. Police say the bus was westbound on Weaver when it collided with the Chevy Lumina going south on Manchester.

Sgt. Jason Price says the four people in the car - three adults and a juvenile - and one person on the bus were being treated for minor injuries.

Another passenger said she had her bicycle on the front rack of the bus and the impact twisted it up.

No charges have been filed as the crash remains under investigation.
