YORK COUNTY -- Two people saw a vehicle with a ladder on the roof that may have been involved in a home break-in.

The York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office says it was Tuesday, March 11, when someone broke into a home on Marlbank Drive. The homeowner wasn't there. A back window was broken out.

The vehicle seen in the area is an older model maroon 4-door sedan. Authorities say people in the Marlbank area saw it stopped in front of the victim's home during the time of the break in; another person saw it drive by her home earlier that day.

Authorities say the case may be related to a series of stolen cars/car break-ins that have taken place in the Hampton Roads area in recent weeks.
