NEWPORT NEWS -- Police are investigating after a body was found under a bridge in Newport News.

According to police spokesman Harold Eley, the body of a man was found Tuesday afternoon lying in the grass at 29th Street and Jefferson Avenue.

Eley said they believe the man may have been homeless. He was seen earlier in the day and is known to sit where his body was found.

Eley says their don't seem to be any signs of foul play.
