CHESAPEAKE -- More than 100 families in need will have a Christmas dinner with all the fixings.

Thursday morning, deputies of the Chesapeake Sheriff's Office will be delivering food baskets filled with items from turkey breasts to pumpkin pies and a gift card from Broken Egg Bistro.

This is the 24th year that Sheriff John R Newhart and Undersheriff Jim O'Sullivan's Elderly and Indigent Victim's Assistance Program will make these special deliveries.

The sheriff's office says Wal-Mart generously helped underwrite the cost of the baskets.
