SUFFOLK - A man accused of shooting his young son Friday during an argument with his wife was arraigned Monday.
22-year-old Michael Goodman was charged following the morning shooting in the hallway of an apartment complex on White Marsh Road.
The three-year-old remains at Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters for treatment of a gunshot to his shoulder.
In Suffolk Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court Monday, Goodman said he'd hire a lawyer instead of having a court-appointed attorney.
He remains in jail without bail, Clerk of Court Brenda A. Rountree told WVEC.com. He'll tell the judge the name his attorney on July 10; a preliminary hearing has been set for August 21.
