PORTSMOUTH-- Police are looking for three suspects who burglarized an local business on the 4th of July.
Police were called to the Happy Time Food Mart in the 3200 block of Elm Avenue around 11:26 p.m. for a report of suspicious activity going on at the store. Police received 911 calls from people who heard what was believed to be glass breaking.
When officers arrived, they found a window shattered. Police searched the business but were unable to find anyone. Police believe that three suspects entered the business, ransacked the inside and took several items including cigarettes, cigars and food. The amount of damages and stolen property was in excess of $1500.
Detectives found surveillance video from inside the market just prior to the burglary. and have released photos of the suspects.
One suspect is wearing a white t-shirt with the Adidas logo, one is wearing a black t-shirt and the third is wearing a red Elmo t-shirt. The man in the yellow t-shirt is an employee and not a suspect in the burglary.
