VIRGINIA BEACH -- President Barack Obama sat down and talked with military spouses at a cafe in Virginia Beach on Friday.

The President ordered a sweet tea while at family-owned Rick's Cafe, a couple miles from Oceana Naval Air Station.

Donna Brunson and her husband own the restaurant. They talked about economics with the president.

'He talked to my husband about small businesses in the area, how long we've owned it, how business has been going,' said Brunson. 'He was very concerned about the small business.'

The president even popped into the kitchen to talk with the cooks.

'I said, 'Get out of here!' I couldn't believe it,' exclaimed Michael Roof. 'I got a chance to meet the President of the United States. It's something I'm going to cherish for the rest of my life.'

As you might expect, Obama and his entourage drew large crowds from nearby shops and homes.

'I'm like star struck,' said Jodi McNamara. 'But, he's like so genuine and he was being nice to us. He introduced himself to everyone and talked to all the tables that were here.'

John Dominic lives nearby and was also amazed.

'I was like this close, like me and you talking. Like me and you are talking, me and him talking. It was awesome.'

Obama is expected to campaign in Cincinnati, Ohio on Monday and then in Texas on Tuesday.
