NORFOLK Investigators believe a scooter rider caused the wreck that left him seriously hurt.
Police said a scooter and car collided on East Brambleton Avenue at Reservoir Avenue late Saturday afternoon near Norfolk State University.
Norfolk Police Department spokesman Officer Chris Amos said the investigation found the scooter rider was eastbound on Brambleton and hit the car has he tried to make a left turn onto Reservoir.
The 5:40 p.m. collision caused parts of Brambleton to be closed while officers tried to figure out what led to the wreck.
The scooter rider was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where his condition had improved by Sunday.
